Finishes

Natural

Also known as natural cleft, this finish has the least amount of processing. It does not require a saw or special machinery. It is simply the natural break of the stone on top when it is cut into the required product (i.e., pavers). Just as when found in nature.

Sand Blasted

Also known as our Rundle series. The stone is blasted with a high pressure air, sand, and/or other grit, moving back and forth across the surface of the stone until there is a fine, textured look. Similar to that of a grainy, perfectly combed beach.

Flamed and Brushed

Also known as a thermal finish, made using a hot torch flame and running it over the surface of the stone which is then followed by a course brush to create to create a smooth, non-slip finish that has a semi-rough texture.

Sawn

Similar to a honed finish, this matte-like finish onvovled the use of abrasives to smooth the stone down to a flat, even surface so there is no shine or reflection. This also creates an anti-slip quality, great for exteriors.
